Our practice is 100% dedicated to representing clients in almost all areas of immigration law. We need someone who is bilingual (English/Spanish), though we also have many clients from various cultures who speak a wide variety of languages. Flexibility in this area is crucial. The specific job duties are: answering phones; translating in person, over the phone, and in writing; copying, shipping, following up with clients on missing items; obsessively keeping track of every step involved in each case on spreadsheets; scheduling appointments, tracking due dates, and meeting with attorneys regularly for case status updates.
You do not necessarily have to have experience either in a law office or with immigration issues, but both would certainly be preferable. The two most important things you need to bring to this position are: 1. an ability to professionally and easily communicate in both English and Spanish, and 2. you must be not only detailed-oriented, but compulsively so.
The position would start with training in January 2014. Wages begin at $15 per hour but can go up significantly depending on performance. It is also possible to have 2 part-time people depending on availability.
Please send detailed resumes with a cover letter in both English and Spanish describing how you feel you fit the above-described requirements to
